General
TheOrangeCove is a curated marketplace where Clients can discover Professionals who accept Bitcoin for their services. Clients can send an inquiry and, when a Professional and Listing are payment-ready, pay through the Professional's own BTCPay Server.
TheOrangeCove is designed as a Bitcoin-native marketplace. Integrated marketplace checkout, where available, uses Bitcoin through BTCPay Server.
No. The service is provided directly by the Professional. TheOrangeCove provides the marketplace, discovery, inquiry, review, and technical checkout infrastructure described on the platform.
No. TheOrangeCove is non-custodial. Bitcoin payments are sent through the selected Professional's own BTCPay Server and wallet setup. TheOrangeCove does not hold private keys, wallet seeds, or Client funds.
No. Approval, listing review, verification, or platform visibility do not guarantee a particular service outcome. Clients should review the Professional's profile, scope, terms, experience, and suitability before engaging them.
The marketplace is intended for Clients seeking professional services and for Professionals who satisfy TheOrangeCove's application and quality requirements. Availability may depend on category, jurisdiction, compliance, and platform approval.
For Clients
Explore the public directory, use the available filters, open a Professional profile, and review their Listings, experience, service information, and trust indicators.
Use the inquiry action available on the Professional or Listing page. Your inquiry is delivered through the platform's inquiry workflow and the Professional is notified by email; replies happen outside of a live chat.
A Bitcoin checkout is available only when the selected Professional, Listing, and BTCPay connection are payment-ready. Otherwise, the page may offer inquiry-only contact.
The Professional defines the service description, scope, price, delivery conditions, refund policy, and any other engagement-specific terms, subject to platform review and applicable law.
Because TheOrangeCove does not hold or process the funds, refunds and service disputes are primarily handled between the Client and the Professional according to their agreement, the Professional's stated policies, and applicable law. TheOrangeCove may receive reports and take marketplace-level actions where appropriate.
Bitcoin transactions are generally not reversible by TheOrangeCove. Any refund must be agreed and issued by the Professional.
Yes. TheOrangeCove provides profiles, reviews, approval workflows, and trust indicators, but Clients remain responsible for assessing whether a Professional and service are appropriate for their needs.
For Professionals
Submit the Professional application and select a plan. An Admin reviews the application before the Professional Portal and onboarding workflow are fully unlocked.
No. After application approval, you must complete your Professional profile and submit it for review. The profile must be approved and activated before it can become publicly available.
Yes. New or materially updated Listings may require Admin review. A Listing can be approved and published, returned for changes, or rejected.
A Listing in the pending-review state may be locked until the Admin review is completed or changes are requested. Follow the status and instructions shown in the Portal.
Yes. Each Professional is responsible for their own legal, tax, invoicing, licensing, regulatory, and professional obligations. TheOrangeCove does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice.
Yes. TheOrangeCove may suspend, unpublish, reject, or restrict profiles and Listings when required by platform rules, quality controls, security, reports, legal obligations, or marketplace integrity.
Plans
Plan entitlements describe platform functionality and support. They do not automatically grant verification or guarantee visibility, leads, sales, or service outcomes.
Starter includes one Listing and inquiry-only functionality. Starter does not include integrated Bitcoin checkout, Orders, Payments, or BTCPay setup through the Portal.
Pro includes the Starter features, up to five Listings, integrated Bitcoin checkout when the Professional is payment-ready, Orders and Payments access, the ability to bring and configure the Professional's own BTCPay Server, checkout and payment notifications, and standard email support during business days.
Plan changes are currently coordinated through TheOrangeCove support or Admin. Automated membership billing and self-service plan management may be introduced separately.
Bitcoin & BTCPay
BTCPay Server is open-source Bitcoin payment software that allows a merchant or Professional to receive Bitcoin without relying on TheOrangeCove to custody the funds.
The Professional owns or controls their BTCPay Server, store, wallet connection, API credentials, webhook configuration, and payment policies. TheOrangeCove connects the marketplace checkout to that Professional-specific setup.
No. Professionals bring or deploy their own BTCPay Server. Premium guided setup support can help with the connection and validation process, but it does not include hosting, custody, wallet management, or server administration by TheOrangeCove.
Payment-ready means the Professional is on a plan that includes checkout, the BTCPay connection has been saved, the technical connection test has passed, the webhook has been configured and a valid webhook event received, and the connection has not been blocked or revoked. The Listing must also be active and priced at or above the minimum checkout amount.
Ordinary BTCPay readiness is based on the technical validation requirements shown in the Portal. It does not normally require a separate Admin approval, although TheOrangeCove may block, revoke, or review a connection for security or operational reasons.
Guided BTCPay setup support is a Premium support workflow that provides structured instructions, checklists, and asynchronous assistance for connecting and validating the Professional's own BTCPay Server.
No. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, guided support is asynchronous and available during business days. It does not include a guaranteed call, 24/7 availability, or a service-level agreement.
No. TheOrangeCove does not hold wallet seeds or private keys and cannot recover a wallet, reverse a Bitcoin transaction, or access funds controlled by the Professional.
Trust & Safety
Verified is an Admin-assigned trust indicator showing that TheOrangeCove completed the applicable verification review. It is not a guarantee of service quality, availability, regulatory status, or outcome.
No. Application approval, profile approval, activation, Premium, Featured, and Verified are separate states.
Featured is an Admin-controlled visibility status that may give a Professional or Listing additional prominence. It is not the same as Verified and does not guarantee traffic, inquiries, or sales.
Use the reporting option available on the relevant public Professional or Listing page, or contact TheOrangeCove support. Reports may lead to review, unpublishing, suspension, or other marketplace action.
Internal demo or test records are intended to be excluded from public marketplace surfaces. They may remain visible in protected Admin environments for testing and operational purposes.
Account & Privacy
Use the account-deletion option in Portal Settings, complete the confirmation step, and follow the email instructions. Confirmed requests enter the Admin deletion workflow.
Not necessarily. The account may first be suspended and Listings paused while the request is reviewed. Some data may need to be retained, restricted, or anonymized for legal, security, payment, audit, or dispute-related reasons.
The account and public marketplace activity may be suspended while the request is processed. The final result may include anonymized retention or complete deletion where permitted.
