Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 July 2026

This baseline is provided for platform transparency and may be updated before or after production launch. It is written in plain English and is specific to the current product. It is not a substitute for independent legal advice and has not been finalised by external legal counsel.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of TheOrangeCove ("the Platform"), operated by [Company legal name — to be completed] ([Registered address — to be completed]). By using the Platform you agree to these Terms.

2. TheOrangeCove role

TheOrangeCove provides a marketplace and directory platform where Buyers can discover and contact Professionals and, where available, start Bitcoin checkout flows connected to the Professional's own BTCPay Server. TheOrangeCove is not the provider of any Professional service listed on the Platform.

3. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Platform. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.

4. Professional profiles and Listings

  • Provide accurate profile, Listing, pricing, deliverable, and timeline information.
  • Do not list illegal, misleading, abusive, or otherwise prohibited services.
  • Keep payment setup information (including BTCPay connection details) accurate and current.
  • Comply with applicable law and your own tax and commercial obligations.

5. Buyer inquiries and marketplace relationship

Any service agreement, delivery, refund, cancellation, tax treatment, invoice, or dispute remains between the Buyer and the Professional unless otherwise explicitly stated. Buyers are responsible for evaluating Professionals, confirming service scope, understanding payment terms, and deciding whether to proceed with a purchase or inquiry.

6. Bitcoin checkout and BTCPay Server model

For eligible Professionals, Bitcoin checkout is routed to the Professional's own BTCPay Server. TheOrangeCove receives operational payment status metadata through signed BTCPay events or webhooks so orders can be tracked and confirmed. Bitcoin payments may be irreversible and are subject to network conditions and price volatility outside our control.

7. No custody and no payment intermediation

TheOrangeCove does not custody funds, hold private keys, operate wallets for Professionals, or act as a payment processor. TheOrangeCove is not a bank, exchange, custodian, wallet provider, broker, or escrow provider.

8. Orders, payments, refunds, and disputes

Refunds, cancellations, chargebacks where applicable, service disputes, and delivery issues are handled directly between Buyer and Professional. TheOrangeCove may provide platform-level support but does not guarantee a resolution and does not act as an escrow agent. Because TheOrangeCove does not custody funds, refund ability depends on the Professional and the payment method used.

9. Premium guided BTCPay setup support boundaries

Premium guided BTCPay setup support helps Professionals understand setup paths, connect and validate their own BTCPay Server, configure API permissions and webhooks, and run first checkout validation. It does not include hosted BTCPay Server, custody of funds, wallet management, seed/private key handling, full server administration, 24/7 support, guaranteed SLA, or legal/tax advice.

10. Verified, Featured, Premium badges and visibility

Verified, Featured, Premium, and other badges or visibility controls are platform signals and do not guarantee service quality, legal status, identity certainty, financial reliability, or payment outcome.

11. Prohibited conduct

  • No illegal services.
  • No scams, impersonation, fake credentials, malware, phishing, or credential theft.
  • No misleading financial guarantees or fabricated reviews.
  • No use that compromises Platform security or payment infrastructure.

12. Content moderation, suspension, and removal

TheOrangeCove may suspend, unpublish, decline, or remove profiles, Listings, or accounts that do not meet our quality or safety standards, at our reasonable discretion. Listing visibility may be controlled by admin review.

13. No professional, legal, tax, or financial advice

TheOrangeCove does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, or investment advice. Content provided by TheOrangeCove is informational only. Professionals and Buyers should seek independent qualified advice where appropriate.

14. No guarantee of service quality or payment outcome

TheOrangeCove does not guarantee project outcomes, delivery quality, response times, business results, payment settlement timing, or the accuracy of any third-party information displayed on the Platform.

15. Platform availability and support boundaries

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Support is provided during business days unless otherwise explicitly agreed. TheOrangeCove does not provide 24/7 emergency support or a guaranteed response-time SLA as part of standard plans.

16. Intellectual property

Platform branding, design, code, and content produced by TheOrangeCove remain the property of TheOrangeCove and its licensors. Professionals retain ownership of content they publish, subject to a licence to display and operate that content on the Platform.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheOrangeCove is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, Professional services, or Bitcoin payments. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

18. Changes to the service and terms

We may update the Platform and these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where legally appropriate.
